Christmas 2008

This year we made our first ginger bread house. It was fun with David and Jaylin helping me, but they would rather eat the candy then "waste it" decorating the house. It turned out pretty good and the kids have already started eating the candy off it.

Christmas Eve we had our family Christmas Party at Rumbi Grill. My niece is the manager and was able to get the whole place reserved just for our family. It was so much fun hanging out with family and eating good food. We sang Christmas songs and Santa came and the kids got to sit on his lap and get a present. That made it really fun for the kids.

Christmas morning the kids came down the stairs and were so excited to see all their presents under the tree. We opened our presents and then we had pancakes, bacon, and sausage for breakfast. We watched WALL E and Kung Fu Panda and munched all day long. It was a really nice relaxing day. On a side note, on Christmas Eve we were getting ready to go to the party and the kids were in our room playing under our bed which is where I hid their presents. I told them to get out from under the bed and David said "There are presents, can I open them?" I told him "Those presents aren't for you" to which he replied "This one says David" Can I just say that boy is too smart for his own good!

The first two pictures I posted are of Jaylin on Christmas Eve in 2006 and Avery on Christmas Eve in 2008 wearing the same outfit. Jaylin was 11 months at the time of the picture and Avery was 9 months at the time of the picture. It was big on Jaylin and fit perfectly on Avery, she is a big cuddly baby. We hope everyone had a Merry Christmas and will have a Happy New Year!!!

On the 26th we celebrated my dear sister Kim's 46th birthday. She passed away almost four years ago from ALS. My mom, dad, sisters, brother, and I went to her grave today and sang Happy Birthday to her. We all went to the Happy Sumo for lunch and talked about some memories of her we had and we just had a good time enjoying each other's company. I miss Kim so much and wish she were still here with us. I find myself thinking about her almost every day. We love you and miss you so much Kim. Happy Birthday.

Birthday...

So my sisters Elaine and Lesley took me to PF Cheng's for dinner last Friday, it was so much fun. I left around 7:00 and didn't get home until 11:30. We had so much fun talking and laughing and just hanging out. My birthday has been the best this year. I love my sisters and am so glad that I can go out and do things with them. Thanks Elaine and Les for being the best sisters anyone could ask for!

Thanksgiving & A Birthday

First I'd like to apologize that it has taken me this long to post. Life has been a little hectic but finally we're getting back to normal. Since it has been over three weeks since I posted last, this post will be a little long. My sisters and I went out to lunch for fun while Yai stayed home with the kids so I could have a break. When I got home David brought me 2 dozen roses I was totally surprised to say the least. As I was talking to Yai he told me to get something off the kitchen counter and I found a tub of carmel covered macadamia nuts that he bought for me too. I came back to sit down and started talking to him again when he said to go get something out of the freezer and what should I find but an ice mocha latte from Costco. That did it I started crying. He made me feel really special. So that was the start of my 29th Birthday.

The Day before Thanksgiving I went with my best friend Gina to watch Twilight and then we went to Baskin Robins and had ice cream. It was like the old days before kids. It was really nice.

We spent Thanksgiving in St. George and had a blast. We went bowling the night before Thanksgiving with the family. We had our Thanksgiving at the church it was so yummy. We even had prime rib!!! After our dinner we went to my parents' house and visited.

For my official birthday my parents took Yai and me to The Ruby River Steakhouse for lunch and then that night I went on a double date with Yai and my sister and brother in-law. We went to Samarai 21 for dinner and then we went to the movies and saw the new James Bond movie. I haven't been on a date with Yai in a long time it was well over due.

Primary Program

Sunday David had his primary program. He had a little part to say in the microphone and he's known it for a few weeks. He's supposed to say "I'm trying to be like Jesus by saying my prayers." Well when it was his turn to say his part he gets up and says "My house, I go to my house..." and a bunch of other random stuff. I was laughing so hard I was crying. He was the only one to go and say whatever he wanted. All the other kids said their lines. Oh David what to do with you.

Missionary

My nephew Spencer had his mission farewell last Sunday. He did a great job on his talk in sacrament meeting and I can't wait to hear his talk when he gets home. He will be serving in the St. Louis, Missouri Mission. Elder Moore went in the M.T.C. last Wednesday. We're all going to miss you Spencer, but we're so excited for you too. I don't know what happened but I didn't get a picture of Spencer with his mom so I'll have to see if I can track one down and post it.
