More Snow!!!

We had more snow again. Check out how big the flakes are.

Just Chillin on a Saturday Afternoon

The kids didn't want to take a nap so we put our little TV in their room and let them watch a movie and relax for a couple hours. The had apples and string cheese for a snack while they watched their movie. Yai hung out with the kids for a while. As you can see David is in his Spiderman costume and Jaylin is wearing her Batman costume. They love to dress in their costumes and they'd wear them every day all day if I let them. Oh well at least it's less laundry for me ;)

Testimonies

Today was fast and testimony meeting in church. Jaylin kept asking me when it was her turn to go up to talk. So finally I took her up and David came up with us. Jaylin went first and then David. It was the first time they bore their testimonies. After we sat down they wanted to go up again. I think they just liked talking in the microphone. Yai and I were really impressed that the kids weren't afraid to get up in front of the whole congregation and talk. They're learning young!!!

Kids...

Yesterday I was going up the stairs to give the kids a bath when I heard David say behind me "Mom, wait up!" He's never said that before, usually he says "Wait!" or "Mommy wait for me!" so I was a little taken back when he said wait up. He's growing up so fast and I'm not ready to let go of my baby boy.

Last night I put all three kids to bed by 8:00 just like any other night. 20 minutes later Jaylin comes slowly into the family room with her hands over her face. I said to her "Jaylin, you wouldn't be covering your face if you didn't know you weren't supposed to be out of bed." She comes running over to me with this big grin on her face and I give her this disapproving look so she starts rubbing her eye and says, "Mommy my eye's broken!" It was so funny Yai and I busted up laughing. She got to stay up for 5 more minutes before I carried her back upstairs to her bed and tucked her in. What a funny girl.

Busy Saturday

Saturday was such a busy day for us, I still don't know how the kids were able to be so good running all over the place with no naps. We got up around 8:00 and I made orange rolls for breakfast then we got the kids dressed into their Halloween costumes to go Trick or Treating at the Hogle Zoo. It was so packed you couldn't really move without running into someone. I don't think we'll be going there again during Halloween again, but the kids had fun. After the zoo we had some time to kill before my niece Kara's piano recital. She came up Friday from St. George and spent the night. We decided to go to the Gateway Mall in Salt Lake City. They had some activity day for the blind there which was really cool. They were doing a scavenger hunt and I was able to help two of them find an ice cream store. After a couple hours at the mall it was off to Kara's piano recital. She did an excellent job, we were totally impressed with how well she played and we weren't the only ones impressed. Another piano teacher came up to her and told her that if he was one of the judges he would give her first place. What a compliment to her playing. After that we went to Outback Steakhouse for dinner. By the time we got home it was 9:30 and the kids were beyond ready to go to bed. It was a really long day, but a good one!

David dressed up as Spiderman

Jaylin has a thing for Batman so that is what she dressed up as for Halloween

Our little pumpkin isn't Avery so cute?!!!

The tiger was pretty agitated with all the people there, he kept pacing up and down. I was really this close to him, no zoom on the camera pretty cool huh?!

It was time for a treat so we got ice cream

Shots

On Friday Yai and I took the kids to the doctor to get caught up on their shots. David and Jaylin did really well. Jaylin is in the 3rd percentile for her height and weight she's tiny, but the doctor is not concerned because Jaylin has always been petite. She was 5 weeks early when she was born and weighed 5 lbs. 3 oz. She eats a lot, more than David does but is just a little girl. David is in the 25th percentile for height and weight. Just a little smaller than the average boy his age but that's normal for him. We talked to the doctor about his snoring and the doctor prescribed a steroid nasal spray to help shrink his adnoids but if that doesn't make a difference in the next 2-3 weeks then we have to see a specialist to have his adnoids removed. Other than that both kids are doing great and neither one cried or even made a sound when they got their shots. We were totally surprised. Now on to the pictures.
