Yesterday I was going up the stairs to give the kids a bath when I heard David say behind me "Mom, wait up!" He's never said that before, usually he says "Wait!" or "Mommy wait for me!" so I was a little taken back when he said wait up. He's growing up so fast and I'm not ready to let go of my baby boy.
Last night I put all three kids to bed by 8:00 just like any other night. 20 minutes later Jaylin comes slowly into the family room with her hands over her face. I said to her "Jaylin, you wouldn't be covering your face if you didn't know you weren't supposed to be out of bed." She comes running over to me with this big grin on her face and I give her this disapproving look so she starts rubbing her eye and says, "Mommy my eye's broken!" It was so funny Yai and I busted up laughing. She got to stay up for 5 more minutes before I carried her back upstairs to her bed and tucked her in. What a funny girl.

Busy Saturday
Saturday was such a busy day for us, I still don't know how the kids were able to be so good running all over the place with no naps. We got up around 8:00 and I made orange rolls for breakfast then we got the kids dressed into their Halloween costumes to go Trick or Treating at the Hogle Zoo. It was so packed you couldn't really move without running into someone. I don't think we'll be going there again during Halloween again, but the kids had fun. After the zoo we had some time to kill before my niece Kara's piano recital. She came up Friday from St. George and spent the night. We decided to go to the Gateway Mall in Salt Lake City. They had some activity day for the blind there which was really cool. They were doing a scavenger hunt and I was able to help two of them find an ice cream store. After a couple hours at the mall it was off to Kara's piano recital. She did an excellent job, we were totally impressed with how well she played and we weren't the only ones impressed. Another piano teacher came up to her and told her that if he was one of the judges he would give her first place. What a compliment to her playing. After that we went to Outback Steakhouse for dinner. By the time we got home it was 9:30 and the kids were beyond ready to go to bed. It was a really long day, but a good one!

Shots
On Friday Yai and I took the kids to the doctor to get caught up on their shots. David and Jaylin did really well. Jaylin is in the 3rd percentile for her height and weight she's tiny, but the doctor is not concerned because Jaylin has always been petite. She was 5 weeks early when she was born and weighed 5 lbs. 3 oz. She eats a lot, more than David does but is just a little girl. David is in the 25th percentile for height and weight. Just a little smaller than the average boy his age but that's normal for him. We talked to the doctor about his snoring and the doctor prescribed a steroid nasal spray to help shrink his adnoids but if that doesn't make a difference in the next 2-3 weeks then we have to see a specialist to have his adnoids removed. Other than that both kids are doing great and neither one cried or even made a sound when they got their shots. We were totally surprised. Now on to the pictures.

Swimming
We took the kids swimming at the Legacy Center on Saturday. Our friends and their kids met us there. It was a lot of fun. David and Jaylin both went down the big tube slide with Yai and they loved it. After three hours of swimming it was time to go home eat lunch and relax before we headed to my sister's house for my brother in-law's 50th birthday surprise party.
Just finished going down the tube slide with Daddy

Party!!!
Winter is here
Last Sunday I woke up to snow on the ground. The kids were all excited and wanted to go play in it. After church was over the snow had melted away so I guess the kids will have to wait until we get another day of snow to go outside to play in it. Here are some pictures of our backyard and house covered in snow.

Peas...
So today after church we were eating dinner and of course Yai and I finished before the kids did. Anyways Yai and I were watching T.V. when David started to cry and had his finger up his nose. He said "Mommy it's stuck" so I thought he meant his finger, but actually he had put a pea up his nose and couldn't get it out. Yai helped him get it out of his nose and he went back to the dinner table and finished eating his dinner. Yai and I had a good little laugh. I always heard about little kids sticking things up their noses, but I never thought David would be one of them. Oh well live and learn!

Jaylin's First Hair Cut
Jaylin's hair has never been cut except for her bangs. I debated cutting her hair because it has natural curls at the end, but it is so whispy and uneven so I bit the bullet and gave Jaylin her first little trim. I only had the guts to cut about 1/4 inch off. It looks better and she still has her curls on the end thank goodness. Jaylin was really good sitting on the counter letting me trim her hair. I guess she's good for a year or so then maybe I'll have the guts to have her hair cut again, next time from a professional.
Avery is Sleeping Through the Night!!!
Our little Cuddle Bug is finally sleeping through the night! Avery goes to bed around 8:30 at night and sleeps until 6:30 or 7:30 in the morning then she drinks a bottle and goes back to sleep for another hour or so. She is our best sleeper as a baby.
Here are some cute pictures of her sleeping in her crib in the nursery. There's nothing better than a sleeping baby, I could watch her sleep for hours!
